What is a variation?

Any agreed change to a job's scope, price or programme. Agreeing it in writing before the work starts turns a favour into billable work.

Who is Sova for?

UK remodelling contractors running several live jobs at once, where the owner still approves every extra. Not for one-person firms or pure new-build developers.

Do I have to change my software?

No. You keep your estimating and accounts tools. Sova runs the change process alongside them.

Does it work with JCT contracts?

Yes. Sova works inside your contract. It is not legal advice, so have a construction solicitor check your variation templates.

Is Sova legal advice?

No. Sova does not give legal advice and does not replace your contract. Have a construction solicitor review your templates once.

How much does it cost?

The audit starts from £995 and is credited against setup if you continue within 30 days. Setup is £3,000 to £4,000. The desk starts from £1,200 a month.

Is the audit worth it if my firm is small?

Maybe not. The audit shows the real gap. If the gap is small, we tell you and you stop there.

What is the guarantee?

In your first 60 days, if fewer than nine in ten extras are logged before the work starts, that month's desk fee is waived.

What if a homeowner will not sign?

You find out before the work starts, when changing the scope is cheap. Genuine emergencies are flagged and recorded rather than blocked.

Do you replace my estimator or quantity surveyor?

No. Your office approves every price. Sova drafts from your own rate cards and keeps the records. It does not invent prices.

What does my site team have to do?

Send a photo and a short note when extra work appears. That is the whole job, which is why it has to be quick.

How quickly will I see results?

The audit shows the past gap straight away. On live jobs you see logged, priced and signed extras from the first week. Margin results build over months.

How do you handle homeowner data?

Names, photos and signatures are personal data under UK GDPR. We use them only to run your variations. The privacy notice sets out the detail.
